Cookie policy

Last updated: 18 October 2026

The Spanish version of this document prevails.

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small file that a website stores in your browser to remember something from one page to the next, for example that you have already logged in.

We only use technical cookies

Magigraphy only uses its own technical cookies: the ones needed for you to log in, stay logged in and see the website in your language. We use no analytics or advertising cookies, we set no third-party cookies and we do not follow you from one website to another.

What you publish with Magigraphy on other websites and in emails sets no cookies on the people who see it.

When you pay with Stripe or log in with Google, you go to their websites, which have their own cookies and their own policies.

The cookies we use

  • mg_account: keeps you logged in to your account. It is sealed, so it cannot be read or changed from outside. It lasts 30 days and is deleted when you log out.
  • mg_lang: remembers your language, English or Spanish. It is stored when you choose a language or visit a page in Spanish. It lasts 1 year.
  • cinemagraph-session: during the beta, remembers that you entered the early-access password. You only have it if you used that password. It lasts 30 days.
  • mg_g_state and mg_g_verifier: protect logging in with Google, so that nobody else can complete it in your place. They last 10 minutes and are deleted at the end.
  • mg_g_next: remembers which page to return to after logging in with Google. It lasts 10 minutes and is deleted at the end.
  • mg_g_mkt: remembers, while you log in with Google, that you ticked the optional news box. It lasts 10 minutes and is deleted at the end.
  • mg_ml_mkt: remembers, in the browser where you ticked the optional news box, that you asked for the sign-in link with it ticked. That way your consent is only recorded if you open the link in that same browser. It lasts 15 minutes, as long as the link, and is deleted when you use it.

All of them are set by this website. Except for mg_lang, none of them can be read by the page's code.

Why there is no cookie banner

The law requires your consent for cookies that are not necessary, but not for those strictly necessary to provide the service you ask for (article 22.2 of the Spanish LSSI). All of ours are of that kind, so we do not need to ask your permission or show you a banner.

If we ever use cookies that need your consent, we will ask for it before setting them.

How to delete or block them

You can delete or block cookies in your browser's settings. If you block ours, you will not be able to log in to your account.
